Arrival (open) Empty Arrival (open)

Falling, twisting, drowning. The experience was unlike anything she had felt before, but a sense of dread was rising inside her. She couldn't see Michael, or anything else for that matter, and for the first time in years she was alone. Often she felt alone, but never did her brother ever physically leave her side. But now he had. Not by choice, of course, for whatever was happening to her was likely to be happening to him. Unless... unless something else had happened to him. The Spirit pushed those thoughts to the edge of her consciousness, she couldn't bare to think of them for now. But, what else was there? She was nowhere, literally lost in space. But for some reason she had a feeling she was going somewhere. It was inexplicable, but she knew that there was a destination to her travel. She was falling towards something, not away, as if she were being called somewhere - to her next destination.

Suddenly, there was something solid beneath her. She managed to open her eyes, slowly, and they were immediately invaded by the harsh buzz of artificial light. All at once her senses were overwhelmed with stimuli, the lights, the far off voices, the smell of rubbish and waste. One at a time, she told herself, just focus on one at a time. She closed her eyes, blocking off all of her senses save for one: her hearing. She could hear the people talking in the distance, not their words, but murmurs and laughter. Slowly, she grew accustomed to the sounds.

Next, she allowed herself to smell. It was as if she were in a rubbish dump, all she could smell was decay. But it was urban decay. She was in civilisation, the voices and the smells told her that. At least there might be people around, somewhere, to help her should she need it. Then, she opened her eyes. This was the most difficult, the lights were almost blinding, but she held them open until finally things began to come into focus. She was in an alleyway, as far as she could tell, and appeared to be alone except for...

Michael?

The boy, her brother, was lying face down unconscious. Anima scurried over to him, hauling his body over so he was on his back, and checked to make sure he was breathing. He was, but no matter how hard she shook him, he would not wake. That was when she began to panic. She needed Michael, she couldn't survive without him.

"Help." She said, in no more than a whimper.
"Somebody help me!" She said, quite a bit louder this time, before collapsing in a heap on top of her brother. Tears began to flow, her body convulsing with her sobs. Where were they? How had this happened? What was going to happen now? None of it made sense, and it all just made her feel sick to her core.

Arrival (open) Empty Re: Arrival (open)

This place was a dull, composite world on the edge of the darkness, teetering close as allowed without falling in. He had come here for research of this world, intending to discover why these pieces escaped the darkness. Or perhaps they were rejected? It was difficult to say. Everyone who lived here was a traveler from another world-- whether or not that was from their own will was up for discussion. He had heard that survivors of world that had drowned in their own darkness sometimes wind up here by chance. Perhaps the greatest question is why? What purpose do they serve in being brought here? Is it their own willpower that brings them? Is it destiny or a desire to survive that allows them escape? No matter the case, his curiosity was stirred enough to prompt a visit.

He had not discovered anything useful thus far. The inhabitants were all a group of simple people with simple minds, not interesting in the least or interested in their own fates even a bit. They had been dealt this hand, and rather than wonder how the deck was stacked they simply continued to play they game. He couldn't wrap his mind around such... pitiful lives. Truly they would all be happier to be drowned in darkness; to become naught but heartless driven by instinct. It would happen in due time; he would have his day and bring the darkness to the people of the worlds. A stoic Ire held a faint, dreamy expression upon his face for a moment. That's when he heard a woman shouting for help.

Oh, is something finally happening? A crowd was gathering around a certain area, people poised to help a woman and here brother. He stood by, watching the events unfold with his golden eyes piercing down at them. For the man-- was he her lover? Family? It mattered not. He had a brief though that perhaps she was from another world? He had only just arrived; his conclusion was unlikely and based on a short observation. It held no water, just as he did not hold his breath.

The meagre girl lifted her head from her brother's chest, her face marked by the tears she had shed. There were people there, but they were just looking at her. None of them were even trying to help. Didn't they know who she was? Back home, everyone knew the World Spirit. Whether they loved her or conspired to kill her, everyone knew her. The sick feeling came again - where was she?

Go.

A voice. Inside her head, telling her it was time to move. She wasn't sure how or why, but for some reason she had to trust it. Whether it was simply her own instincts or something else, it was time to get out of here. With an incredible show of strength for one so small, Anima hauled her brother's limp frame over her shoulder and stood, the massive bulk of man hanging loosely over her body. She turned to the gathered group.

"Where is your hospital?" She asked, a edge of frantic curiosity rife within her voice.
"Th... that way..." one man said, pointing to and beyond a massive gate not too far away. Anne nodded at him, before breaking into a brisk walk towards where he had told her. Some of the assembled onlookers were too shocked by what had happened to even move to follow her, though others trailed behind, hoping to catch a glimpse of what she might do next. She approached the gate and came to a halt.

"Somebody..." she said, rather pathetically. She couldn't hold her brother and open the massive thing at the same time, but judging from her earlier attempts at getting aid she would have to find a way.

Ire grinned; for a guess he seemed to be right. It was still a long shot, but a single question from her gave him enough desire to pursue.

"Where is your hospital?" Her strength seemed impressive for a person of her stature. She was at least on par with the average athletes of Olympus in terms of physical strength, or maybe just under so? It mattered not. She broke away from the group and headed towards the Hospice, while Ire followed. He stood within the onlookers that trickled forward, not drawing attention to himself although, he had attracted a few suspicious glances due to his eye coloration. He payed these insects no mind; he had questions to ask this... visitor. That's when he noticed that the girl was stalled at the gate. He paused for a few moments, and decided that he would gain her trust by means of assisting her. He approached from the crowd, pushing through them and walking up to the gate before her. "Here." His commanding tone accompanied a shove that pushed the gate open, freeing her path up. He turned his eyes onto her and nodded. "Go."
